Glomalin Coconut Oil Cleanser – 4.4/5 – This is a very thick cleanser, the consistency of pure coconut oil. It can seem quite oily at first touch, and although it is safe for most skin types, it may take a few uses to understand the quantity needed to each personal skin type and condition. This reviewer uses this nightly as it was found to be too heavy for twice daily use. It leaves the skin clean, soft, and clear for the entire night. The next morning the face will still feel as soft as it did after it was washed.
While it may seem counterintuitive to clean your face with coconut oil, the oil cleansing method is quite possibly the purest, most effective way to remove dirt, impurities and yes even oil from your face. The idea is quite simple, as the practice cleans your face, and moisturizes your skin at the same time.
Coconut oil is highly comedogenic, which means it can clog pores. Consequently, it may actually make acne worse for some people. So, when applied to the skin, coconut oil may clog pores or make acne worse. It is not recommended for those with very oily skin.
