4.7/5 – What could be better! Excellent sunscreen; available in sport and waterproof formulas, good price, and it is both Organic and biodegradable – Goddess Garden Sun Cream will not pollute oceans and some water parks now require sunscreen to be biodegradable if worn inside.

Hawaii is looking at banning conventional sunscreens in favour of biodegradable ones.

The only criticism is that it is difficult to rub in to the skin.
Tip: is to mix the cream with coconut oil or a coconut moisturizer for an even application.
Tip for the sprays: spray on the skin and rub in a bit, wait a few seconds for the cream to dry a little and then it is easier to smooth into the skin.
It is best to apply while naked as the cream will not easily rub off of dark clothing.

Directions for an easier application
1) Shake very well
2) Apply to the skin
3) Wait 30-45 seconds
4) Rub into skin
*this will make it easier for the product to spread onto the skin and leave less white residue.
**some users found it easier to apply to damp skin – still following the same 4 steps

It may leave your skin looking a bit pale for a while as it is white (zinc oxide).

Available in sprays and creams.
Sprays are tin and creams are plastic containers.

  1. After reading this review I decided to read a few others. Basically, they are all over the place. All the reviews consistently agree that the ingredients are clean and the product is effective. This is fantastic and a great starting point. It also seems that Goddess Garden Organics has great customer service, which is another attribute that can determine where I spend my hard-earned money. However, there is no consistency concerning ease of application or whether this sunblock leaves a white cast, which are both very important considerations for daily sun protection. The reviews concerning those two factors seem to range from 0 to 10, on a ten-point scale. Thank you Inherent Skin Care for introducing me to a new physical sunblock. Hopefully I’ll be able to purchase a sample and try it for myself.

    1. Thanks. We have found that Goddess Garden can be slow to absorb in to the skin, but mixing a small amount of coconut oil or body lotion with the cream will help it spread evenly, and leave less of a white cast.
