5/5 – This sugar is soft on the skin and very effective at removing hair.
How long a treatment lasts is personal and dependent on the coarseness of the hairs.
Likewise how long a container will last is dependent on how often it is used and how many areas are waxed. Something to note is that only a thin layer is needed and the product does spread evenly so not a lot is required each time.
Parissa does sell extra strips and spatulas separately if needed.
It is advisable to do a patch test for those who are new to waxing, and those who are new to home-waxing.
It is possible there is a pinkness on the skin after-use. It will go away after a few hours.
It is very easy to use; it can be as simple as “press on, zip off” and is gentle on the skin.
Tip – after waxing and applying azulene oil, if there are some bumps on the skin or if it is burning (rare occurrence), splashing some talcum or baby powder on will help to calm the skin.
The sugar can be heated up in the microwave but if heating it this way, the process takes longer as the wax will have to be reheated throughout the procedure. The best way to keep the wax warm is to either warm it up in the microwave and then keep it warm under a lamp, letting it sit under a lamp for 20 minutes and keeping it their while waxing, or using a wax warmer.
Parissa does sell a wax warmer.
Suitable for all skin types and waxes are available for men and women – although the Chamomile Body Sugar did have favourable test results when used on men and women.
Those with sensitive skin may prefer the Body Sugar to a Wax.
