Organic – No, although organic ingredients are used whenever possible.

4.3/5 Lush Aromaco is a natural deodorant. Very similar to conventional deodorants/anti-perspirants in the look and feel, however it comes in a loose bar rather than a plastic container. The bar may feel waxy to the touch, but it is oil based.
Will leave pores tight and is soothing on the skin, after several weeks of use, the armpit area looks smoother and feels softer. As the switch from a conventional to a natural deodorant may cause a darkening of the skin. This is a normal reaction at first and should not cause alarm, however if it continues or the darkened areas become rough or sore, it is advised to stop using this bar and perhaps try a powder, spray, or cream based natural deodorant.

This is sold in a brick – with a select a size option – so the shopper can choose how much they wish to purchase.

Liberally applied Aromaco will last all day, even during February in the Caribbean, reapplication will only be needed after swimming or physical activity.
Not a lot of product is needed per application and a bar can last quite a long time.

Lush has been accused of green washing and although the company maintains an ethical stance of being cruelty free and using minimal or recyclable packaging, some of their ingredients may not be as safe as they say, and hey may not be as green as they say.

As this comes in a loose bar there is no excess packaging, a storage tip is to keep it in an air-tight container.
Lush, in general, has minimal packaging to their products, and say that currently 90% of their packaging is recyclable with the aim for 100%. They encourage reusing, recycling, and composting of their containers. The stores like to re-use their black pots and these can be brought back to the store.
The claim is for “Happy Hippie Pits” and the patchouli smell may be too strong for some.

Lush plans to start making packaging using Ocean Trash!

Lush has been accused of greenwashing some of their ingredients and although the company does promote a lot of eco values, it does bring down the score.
